I would call this place quintessential St Louis BBQ. The food was off the hook good, we had an assortment of meats and an assortment of sides, everything was really nice. The atmosphere was really cool, getting in and out of there was really easy with the train being right downstairs underneath the building. We had a 5-hour layover at the airport, and decided to take a ride into town go see the arch and get some authentic St Louis barbecue. This place will definitely not disappoint. One of my favorite things about coming here was the service, the guys behind the line serving the food had a great sense of humor and were genuinely happy to be there. I would definitely make this a staple the next time I come to St Louis.

Loved this place! Packed to the hilt…we stood in line for a good while before reaching the front of the line! Cool place inside, good food, friendly staff! My husband had the pulled pork with slaw and fries, and I had the brisket with mac & cheese, fries and cornbread. Everything was good. Had a chocolate chip cookie and pecan pie for dessert. I loved the pie!!! Very delicious! Would recommend to anyone thinking of eating here!

We had a great lunch here, the brisket was tender and they give you six choices of BBQ sauces on all of the tables. The corn bread was amazing, moist and flavorful. My personal favorites were the Honey Badger and the Carolina Mustard sauces, they even have a to-go sauce bar. My son said that their cheeseburger was the best that he had ever had too.

It was our, my son and my, first time visiting and we decided to get the 3 meat platter, 2 orders of brisket and ribs, with fried okra and cheesy potatoes. I also got a piece of pecan pie and he got a heath shake. The employees were helpful and very pleasant and the food was fantastic. All of the BBQ sauces were really good, but we decided the coffee sauce was our favorite. Even though at first glance, it didn’t look like a lot of food, we ended having to get a to-go bag. I highly recommend stopping here.

Man. They have some good BBQ! You gotta try the brisket it’s so good! Try the cornbread with honey butter! The fried okra was really good. Full bar available and tons of different teas. The different sauces were all good. The coffee BBQ sauce was my favorite!

So we started across the street and did not get any service.
We walked in and was greeted right away!
Super friendly staff and they wanted to seat us right away but I wasn’t a fan of the only spot available so we decided to wait for a table away from the door. It wasn’t a long wait and worth it.
We loved all the BBQ options and sides.
Absolutely loved the hush puppies and maple butter!
    The wings were spot on.
    Everything we ordered was excellent.
I’m so glad we found this spot. We will be back more often.

The food was good but not great. Atmosphere was bustling and outdoor seating was enjoyable on the nice day we had. The brisket was tasty, but it wasn’t comparable to Texas BBQ. The mac and cheese side was delicious, but again, not in the top tier of food I’ve tried. Our server, Scot, was kind and very helpful.

One of my favorite spots in St. Louis.

    Beef Fat Fries- 4/5

Fried Chicken Skin- interesting a crunchy little appetizer. Very good with the sauce they serve with it. 4/5

St. Louis Ribs- these are great. Combined with the Kansas style BBQ sauce they are as good as it gets.

White Cheddar Max & Cheese- 4/5

We liked our meal here! My favorite side was the cracker topped Mac and cheese and the creamed corn, which had a really great flavor (some peppers, notnnot overly spicy). The sauce options were all good, several unique and unlike others I’ve tried. We would definitely eat here again when in the area! It was very busy on a Friday night, but we were seated right away.

Service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the brisket and potato salad. The ribs were delicious but not what we’re used to. The beef fat fries were the best fries I’ve ever had. Loved the popover too which was a brand new food for us. Very happy with our first meal in St. Louis!

I was not expecting this place to be this cool. So many unique facets to this awesome restaurant!

The tiny booths, fun candy displays, old school table side jukeboxes! So much fun!

Plus the food was a huge hit with our whole group. 1000% kid friendly!

I had the egg salad sandwich and the Swiss chocolate sundae! My pro tip – dip your chips into your sundae… sweet and salty. Perfection!

    Would highly recommend!

Cute retro setting. Visited on recommendation of a friend who insisted I order their monstrous BLT. I did. It’s classic, diner foods and delicious ice cream treats. Parking was easy to find curbside, metered. Had to wait for a bit outside because they were poppin’. Food came quick and fresh though once ordered. Would gladly return on future trips.

I can’t get enough of this place! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is truly vintage, and the staff is so friendly and fun. Find a friend who will share a plate with you so you can order 2 sandwiches (one must be the BLT) any then finish it with a fresh banana milkshake. You can even get candy to go. And the owners are wonderful and generous people. Heaven.

If you like bacon, try the heart stopper, which must have at least a half a pound of crispy bacon on it. Every time I am in St Louis, I go here to have the BLT heart stopper and it has not disappointed yet. The shakes are good too. We tried the chocolate banana shake.

This shop will take you back in time with its unique history. The sundaes and milkshakes are delicious, and the sandwiches are big portions. A great place to visit in St. Louis.
