My wife and I love diners. Moving to Charlotte we wanted to try the Midnight Diner uptown.

We split some cheeseburger sliders before we went to the Mint museum and they were great. They were diner style, freshly made burgers with fresh French fries and our server Dave was awesome. He let us relax, didn’t hover and was charismatic and cool. Thanks Dave!

The only caveat was the bathroom which I didn’t enter until the end was really dirty. I am glad I didn’t enter it until after I ate because I don’t think I would’ve eaten there with the bathroom that unclean. However, I believe because it’s the end of year that maybe it’s been busy and hopefully that will be fixed.

So, want a diner feel without it being Waffle House? Go to midnight diner. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. Just make sure you check the restroom to make sure it’s clean for piece of mind.

Not worth the wait! I decided to visit after a long night out, after a suggestion of my valet driver, I decided to do take out. After 10 minute wait to order I was shortly accused of cutting the line however the person in front and behind me both indicated that was not the case. This really upset me. The server didn’t even see the line, felt borderline discriminatory. I continued to wait. I ordered a burger fries etc. I was told that wasn’t enough ( not sure why someone was telling me how much I can eat). The wait was 10 minutes which was good. The burger looked delicious and came with a huge load of fries. They looked amazing. The burger was good, seemed to lack seasoning however the fries made the combo mouth watering. The cashier was kind to me and I gave her a tip. The take out package was lacking ketchup, mustard, etc utensils and napkins.

Believe the hype! First of all, they are only closed for 90 minutes a day, so shame on you if you miss it! 😋 We started with the onion rings–spectacular! The shrimp and grits are the real deal. The spaghetti had PLENTY of sauce for the noodles, and the wings with French toast were a delightful coupling. Of course, I added hash browns All The Way, which were soooo satisfying. Our server was amazing and kept the coffee pouring. We went out of our way to try this spot and it was all on point!

Had a great experience here. The food was excellent, pictures below, and the staff were friendly. The food came out quickly too. Plenty of food for your money especially since you will struggle to pay more than 11 dollars a person. Deserts are epic too. A must visit whether passing through or a local. Open 6am – 430am!

Visiting from Kansas City and this is the BEST place we ate hands down!!

The staff went out of their way to seat our party of 9, food was relatively quick and DELICIOUS!! I will admit I was skeptical when I saw the building…..but I saw a line of people waiting to get in…..and I see why!!

VERY reasonable pricing…..and did I mention the food was AWESOME!!

One of the best burger and hot dog joints in Charlotte. Very “hip” vibe. They’ve added outdoor seating. They also have tacos and other various dishes. All house made, delicious goodness. I had the Mammoth, Westside Style and Hush Pups. I had a food coma that afternoon. If you like this type of food, you will LOVE this place!

This is a must go to place for food. Great atmosphere and great staff always making sure everything was good or needed anything. I went at 230pm and was able to get a seat right away for two people. The later it gets the longer the wait will be. If you don’t mind waiting, night time is a great atmosphere but if you are there for the food go earlier. There is nothing bad to stay about Pinky’s except the food and service is worth going with a great variety on their menu. Highly recommended.

The hubby and I were in Charlotte and l in need of some good food and drinks. We landed at Pinky’s after doing a quick search and was so glad we came. GREAT food and GREAT drinks. My hubby created his own burger and I had the white trash burger. Great fries and crab puppies! It was all delish!!! We chilled and ate and drank for hours! The service was great too with a cool atmosphere!

DEFINITELY going back. It’s now one of our top spots if not the top!

Great atmosphere with fantastic music. Had the vegan pimento chili fries, white bean hummus and beyond burger. The burger, hummus and vegan chili were amazing, the vegan pimento cheese not so much. Great staff. Food came out quickly so I would steer away from appetizers unless you’re there during a busy time/day. There’s like 3 parking spaces in front of the restaurant so just head straight to the back area where there’s plenty of parking.

Wonderful atmosphere! Nice, clean, and eclectic! Expect a wait, this place is worth standing in line for! Variety of menu items, try the corn dog shrimp! Split them, share them, or whatever, just try them! My wife and I got the mammoth burger and Velvet Elvis with pimento cheese waffle fries! Will be back!

I travel for work and I enjoy barbecue so when I’m out and about I watch out for opportunities to try a new place. I have never been to Midwood before but I found it on Google reviews and decided to give it a try and went for lunch with one of my co-workers.

It was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had! Everything was tender and juicy and delicious. We ordered one of the combo plates for two people and it was all we could do to eat it. Basically everything in the combo was delicious . We tried several different barbecue sauces with our meat and all of it was just really good.

If you’re in the area I highly recommend it! Don’t miss out on this place if you like to try. Barbecue! Cool atmosphere inside the restaurant as well.

Donnie was great, very informative of the menu, and helped us out with our orders. Food came out quick and fresh. Everything was amazing and can’t complain. The macaroni and cheese was very tasty and the portion size is great for the price. Will definitely come back again! Best cornbread I ever had!

I came down to Charlotte with every intention of eating barbecue, and Midwood Smokehouse did not disappoint. It was my first time ever visiting and I absolutely loved it. Great food, reasonably priced, and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend getting the big share platter. It was more than enough for four people and we got a selection of everything. And don’t forget to get the jalapeno cornbread skillet. Amazing!

WOW! This place is INCREDIBLE! Incredible food, beer, atmosphere and service (shoutout to Savannah for taking EXCELLENT care of us). We went to a lot of BBQ places on our last trip to Teas and Midwood in Charlotte far exceeded their BBQ. Definitely get the “Pig Out” Platter, which is more than enough to feed 2 people (get the burnt ends of Brisket too). We also got the cornbread, which was the best cornbread I’ve eaten in my life! Highly recommend! Will be back soon!

Possibly (almost definitely) the best barbecue we’ve ever had. Our food was served in less than 5 minutes, and everything was so tender, moist, and freshly cooked. The waiter also offered a free sample of burnt ends before we knew what we wanted. Absolutely worth the 1+ hour drive!
