Loved the atmosphere at Taste of Texas! Great for any special occasion, and the staff is professional and friendly. The steaks here are some of the best I’ve ever had – definitely make reservations, because the wait could be up to 2 hours otherwise. You get to choose your own steak, and mine (the t-bone) was cooked perfectly. The salad bar is included with any steak order, and it’s got a great fresh and varied selection. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

Loved every second of this place.

The ambiance is amazing, the food is out of this world and the service is unmatched.

This rivals at top 3 steakhouses in houston in my opinion. From fresh greens at the salad bar to only premium cuts of steak you literally cannot go wrong here. All salad dressings are homemade, rolls are fresh and steaks are of top quality beef.

Drinks are great and most importantly consistent in quality and potency. Could not have asked for a better waiter or better dining experience.

Can’t compliment this place enough on quality and service. Absolutely top notch and guaranteed to impress!

My Wife and I met our friends to celebrate the ladies’ retirement on a Thursday evening. The Texas ambience and large room feel is impressive. We were immediately seated and shortly greeted by our waitress, Allison. After ordering our food, we had a trip to the salad bar, which had a great selection of fresh lettuce and many accessories.
About midway through our salad, the waitress was back and in just the right amount of time our dinner was on the table. We all enjoyed our food, but this was the Best NY Strip steak I’ve had in a long time, and We were visited by the manager. O and the desert tray is important not to pass up. They did a great job with the salad bar, the food, the wait staff and the Texas atmosphere and look of the restaurant. We are from Houston and and I know we will be back soon. Don’t miss this place! Great Job. Reservations recommended.

This was my first time going to Taste Of Texas since my friend wanted to take me. We had Robby for our waiter and he was amazing! He made me feel comfortable and right at home. The food was great and the bread was even better! I got to pick out my cut of steak and took a ton of photos of the decorations around the restaurant. Everyone was dressed up nice and the atmosphere was very elegant and friendly. Very clean, respectable, and organized restaurant all around. I just wish I had room for desert after my very filling steak. Next time I’ll have to eat less bread from the salad bar to have room to try their desert menu😊

This restaurant is Amazing!! Tina our waitress was professional yet fun. The food was melt in your mouth DELICIOUS. The decor was eye drawing & educational.
Taste of Texas is now my new favorite restaurant in all of Houston area!!

My only issue was it was my first ever visit & I asked our waitress to pack ALL the left over for & when we got home we were missing many items that were on our plates that I didn’t even try because I was so full, Very disappointing..

Gave 4 stars as most of the staff was extremely courteous and friendly except one was grumpy and unhappy with serving us the meat. I had add on for one meat for lunch and was told that it was not unlimited. We were told that we will be served 3 slices, twice only. When I had my first serving, the guy only gave me 2 slices and I asked for one more slice. He rudely replied, “Just to remind you, that you can only have 8oz of meat in total.) That was my first serving and I only ate one serving and didn’t even go for the second serving. The way he said it with his tone and body language was not a gentle reminder but was pretty rude. On contrary, we celebrated a birthday and brought a cake. They were very professional by placing the cake on a beautiful cake stand to be served and even lit the candles. The salad spread was worth it. $15 for unlimited salad and $10-$11 for adding limited one choice of meat. It was pretty worth it.

Huge Fogo de Chao fan…let me get that out of the way first. Have been in Houston for four years and had never been to this one. We used weekend getaways to go back to Dallas as fun date nights and would continue to visit the location in Dallas. Finally had an opportunity to go with several of my friends and it did not disappoint.

The location was very well kept and parking lot was in amazing condition.

Valet and door greeters were more than accommodating. Made sure all the gentlemen were addressed and the ladies were treated well as they entered.

Once seated we were provided 5 star service throughout. Allow the cuts if meat were done exactly as requested and when I put In a request for Lamb it came out as if it had been prepared for the leader of a first world country…it was that good.

All the vegetables and side dishes at the table were fresh and well made. No one at our table went with an empty glass regardless of what they were drinking and the servers were nice.

I had put off going to this site because of the location and now with that obstacle removed you can rest assured we will be hitting the H-Town location!!

This place is a meat lovers dream! Every piece I had was juicy, tender, and tasty. The salad bar was fresh with the best of ingredients. The desserts were exceptional! The mix drinks were spot on. I have nothing bad to say except I need more money to enjoy it more often. 🤣

I’ve been trying to get to this place for years! Finally got to go and no disappointments were served. If you’ve never gone to a Brazilian steakhouse, then let me tell you about the experience. The easiest thing to do is get the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE which includes a salad bar because it offers the most variety of foods. (Suggestion: To save money, find any discount you can or try to go for lunch on the weekdays)

Went to the salad bar one time and kept it light because of a suggestion from someone else. Don’t load up on a lot of stuff before the fun begins. Once you turn the chip on your table to green, the meat stars rolling out. Skewers and skewers of it! Chicken, steak, sausages and more! All seasoned nice and char grilled to perfection. We had to break and turn the disk over to red like 3 or 4 times! All in all the food was great, the service was awesome and the managers are so friendly!

Now there are drink, desert and other food options on the menu but you can always go back another day. This place is worth a trip on special occasions or even on a self-care day! Nothing says “It’s all about me” for a carnivore better that this place!

Great service and amazing steaks! I am on a keto diet and this place made my day yesterday. The food was fresh and amazing! Love love the variety of fresh steaks they serve throughout your meal. The buffet serves a lot of salad, cheeses, grilled veggies, soup etc. I would recommend this place to anyone. ♥️ Perfect time to go is around 2pm when there’s not much people. I believe they serve a lot more variety in the buffet for dinner, but I was already stuffed with what we ate for late lunch. I didn’t eat dinner because I was extremely full.

Absolute best BBQ in Houston! We had the feast number 2 which was more than enough for 4 people. It gets very busy here and hard to find parking we were here on a Sunday afternoon and had to drive around in circles to find parking. They do have a large seating area outside which is great. The ribs were very good. Honestly all of the meat is good it literally falls off the bone.

Melt in your mouth brisket with a wonderful salty crust on the outside made this meal memorable. There was a bit if a line to order, but they moved you through pretty quickly. The sides all looked fantastic, I chose the charro beans, which has a bit of a kick. There was a selection of beer and soft drinks to chose from. The booths and tables were kept clean and it was an overall pleasant experience. Definitely worth a stop!

Great place to take a moment and enjoy amazing bbq and good vibes. Love the restaurant design and the food quality. I had brisket and chicken and both items were coked to perfection. The smoke was not overdone and it had the right amount of seasoning. The brisket has a spicy hint to it which compliments the smoke. For the sides, i had mac and cheese and claw slaw. I am not a fan of their recipe for mac and cheese ( please remove from menu or update recipe). It looked like green beans were better choice. Be careful with the local wild life. They will steal your food 🙂

I have been to a ton of barbecue places in and out of Houston, but this is still one of my favorites. I love the tacos. (Pork and brisket) Sandwiches, not so much, but the ribs were also pretty good. It was pretty hard to find parking though, it’s such a popular place! Lots of staff around that were helping us, and they seemed to know what is on the menu pretty well.

If this isn’t the undisputed GOAT of BBQ in Houston then I don’t know what is.

The Brisket is just simply glorious.

The rub, the flavor, the fattyness, it’s all perfect. The combination of flavors and textures are perfection.

The beef rib is superb and the meat is so tender it literally fell off the bone when I picked it up.

The sausage is delightful, the turkey and chicken are just as good. The sides and BBQ sauce are the cherry on top of a feast.

I’ll absolutely come back here for seconds.
