Best BBQ ribs we had so far!
Even though the waiting line was long, we didn’t have to wait for too long, the service was also super friendly and nice

The baby back ribs were very on spot! The meat was tender and juicy, with a smokey, grilled flavor and crispy touch on the outside
The BBQ sauce was also super nice, a little sweet but not too overwhelming, overall a 10 out of 10

Chicken was a bit dry, but the grilled seasoning was great, dipping into the BBQ Sauce compensated the dryness

The onion ring was definitely the highlight of the day, super crispy on the outside yet juicy and sweet on the inside, a must order!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here so I’m glad to see the quality of food has remained the same if not better. I went in at the perfect time, there was no line and the food came out quick. The ribs were delicious especially because I was craving something meaty. Fall off the bone ribs with a mouth watering BBQ sauce. The bar was nice and it also comes with service, so you can order from your table. Whereas the rest of the restaurant it’s ordered upfront. All in all I had a pleasant experience and satisfied my cravings. Highly recommend.

Totally enjoyed this place today. They have a dog friendly patio, so we all had a nice lunch. My husband and I shared ribs and chicken with two sides. Coleslaw and potato salad. Loved both. Wished I ordered the large portion of the potato salad, definitely hit the spot. We were looking for a BBQ place for a while now and I think we found it!!!!

Arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and waited 45 min in line. It was worth the wait. Food comes out rather quickly after you order and it was some of the best baby back ribs and pulled pork I’ve ever had.

I enjoy eating Phil’s BBQ Beefy Ribs and Chicken-less Dinner which is good and delicious. I read on Yelp and Google that this is #2 for best BBQ in San Diego. They have many good BBQ foods like BBQ Pork, Chicken, and Beefy Ribs!! I also enjoy eating BBQ Pulled Pork with my Uncle. And the Onions Rings is also good!! So this is a good place to eat some good BBQ!!

Visiting San Diego from the UK and recommended to come here, so made a reservation.

Very traditionally-styled restaurant in a great location. Bar seating is very limited if you’re waiting for your table, otherwise you’re seated on a couch nearby. Our table was outside the main restaurant but still in an enclosed area overlooking the sea.

Personally I think there is a fine line between ‘traditional’ and ‘old fashioned’. For example, I anticipated that the fish mains would be served on their own with the side dishes in separate bowls to share, rather than everything being served on one plate. For me, the portion size is then a little ‘over facing’, taking something away from the food itself. Just personal taste, I guess.

Nevertheless, the food was good and tasty, and the service was really friendly and attentive. A very nice but not great experience.

I’m a bit surprised I didn’t know about this place. The food is really good, and they have an extensive menu with lots of fresh fish. The meals include your choice of 2 side dishes (the cauliflower was awesome—I highly recommend it.) Our waiter was a bit stiff, but he did a fine job taking care of us. Thanks!

My Wife and I we’re celebrating our anniversary in SD and this restaurant was AMAZING! Food was delicious everything we had was delicious. Service was on point we never really had to wait for our server she was always around when we needed something. We sat at a table right next to the ocean and was totally worth it great views and super relaxing to say the least!
If I could give any criticism the Parking fills up fast but seems to be a common theme in San Diego!
100% recommend! We’ve considered taking a day trip just to go back! Haha. Will definitely be back when we go again!

The food was phenomenal. Very short wait times. Great view, great food and even better service. I had the Seafood Ciopino and a snicker doddle ice cream brownie. The seafood dish was delicious to say the least. It had all the classic seafood items, as well as 2 pieces of toasted bread. The dessert wasn’t too sweet or too big of a portion it was enough for 2 but i had my own. Definitely coming back next time I’m in town.

I went here after my mom’s glowing recommendation. She’s a San Diego native and a seafood fanatic who has VERY high expectations in terms of seafood quality.

The view is incredible – outdoor patio looks out over the sea. Especially cool during sunset. If you want a seat on the patio, you’ll likely need to make a reservation. We didn’t have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in about 15 minutes. While we waited, we got a couple of fantastic cocktails at the bar.

The food was awesome – especially the cheese bread and Caesar salad. I also got a fish/pasta dish, but it wasn’t great. I hesitate to mention that though, because what I ordered wasn’t actually on the menu. I wanted some sort of Alfredo pasta with salmon instead of shrimp (I’m allergic to shrimp). The waitress was kind and said that the kitchen would be able to whip me up something like that. I didn’t care for what they came up with, but I don’t blame the restaurant for that – I should’ve just ordered something that was already crafted on the menu.

Staff are very polite and they come back to check on you often.

I’ll go again next time I’m in SD.

Another San Diego staple that has my 3 most important things; great food, great service, and great atmosphere! This is a totally cool place to hang out for all ages AND there’s a bar. Besides the absolutely delicious food, my favorite part was when I asked the cashier for a bigger cup for my water and she trusted me. I was really happy that she trusted me because I have no interest in soft drinks and did not want to have to get up constantly to fill my small water cup. Both morning and night this place is definitely a hit and I highly recommend it.

Unbelievably good food. The fried chicken is on point; crispy, juicy tender and not greasy. The fries are incredible, a regular was large enough for three of us but we could have easily eaten a large they were so good. The anti salad was delicious with smoked chicken, quinoa, greens and a hard-boiled egg. We are definitely coming back.

I ordered The firebird sandwich: super crispy chicken with a nice kick to it. Also the set up is just awesome. You order you and find a seat yourself. They have paper towels on the table. nonalcoholic drinks and all the sauces (which are really really good! Highly recommend the pineapple mustard) are self serve. They also have a nice long sink for you to wash your hands! 10/10 would recommend

My gosh! I’m from the East Coast, West Virginia specifically and this little place easily tops the list of chicken related grub to eat.

They were busy, but the service was quick. I’m still adjusting to West Coast pricing but to be honest, eating here for two was affordable.

The quality of the food is TOP NOTCH. Unbelievable taste. The chicken isn’t dry but it’s not overly greasy either.

The Mexican Boutique (I may be wrong on the name) fries were delicious. I was full and couldn’t stop eating them.

This place IS A MUST. Please do not pass this place by, it’s simply amazing. Pictures I post of the meals we ate will not speak for the actual taste. Believe it or not, it taste WAY better than it looks.

Legit good fried chicken. But they also have AMAZING coleslaw and great fries as well. A big patio area where you can spread out and kids can run around. Prices are more than you might typically spend on fried food, but it’s reasonable for the quality. Don’t sleep on that slaw!
