Great ambience and view but I would not say that the food is amazing. The clam chowder bread bowl was pretty standard and the sourdough bread was too complex for this dish in my opinion. Seafood risotto was flavorful but a bit salty. I like the fried calamari the most as it was fresh and fried just right so you can taste the ingredients. Tiramisu was below average. Service was great.

The Fog Harbor Fish House has great food and beverages. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing great service that is memorable. Everyone is dressed in classy attire, bringing a higher quality to the experience of being there. The fish and chips are great and the mixed drinks are well prepared and balanced. The atmosphere feels more cozy and warm, giving guests a comfortable dining experience. The views surrounding this establishment are wonderful, looking out towards the ocean and harbors. While the prices are higher, the service, quality, and overall experience is worth it. Recommended to go during happy hour, just before the dinner rush. If you can make reservations ahead of time, it’s definitely suggested as this place is busy. Great for family and friend meals with a classy vibe.

Amazing experience at the Fog Harbor Fish House. Although you may have to book and maybe wait for up to an hour until you get a table, it’s well worth it. Very classy and the food is well presented. Quality of food is also in a very high standard. A great place to unwind with friends, family, or a couple out on a date. Totally recommend this place if you decide to head out to the peer 39.

This is a great family restaurant with wonderful views of the bay and great food.

It was relatively easy to get a table for 7 people when we went. The kids really enjoyed their food which tells me that it was pretty high quality lol.

They have great clam chowder and I had the salmon which was excellent. The dining area is very bright and energetic. It seems like a good place to go with family or for a fancier dinner.

Would definitely come again when I’m in the area.

Located opposite Alcatraz, this restaurant offers great views of the bay. Our waiter was extremely busy yet always checked in on us and was really helpful and polite. The menu was really good and the food we had was really tasty (probably be the best we’ve had yet seafood wise). First time I’ve had clam chowder in a bread bowl and I really enjoyed it. Will likely return here before our time is up in San Francisco.

2nd visit a few days later and was equally as impressive. Our waiter George was friendly and helpful. Glad to have our final holiday meal here at Fog Harbor.

Try not to walk here as the neighborhood is quite “concerning”. Great place to have breakfast as they open very earlier. Great service & great food. We tried their signature “donut” dish. Best to select them individually, to choose 1 or 2 donuts that you like. Crab meat & apple are the best.
Onion soup is incredible. Make sure you take lots of photos of this traditional French + American style restaurant.

So good we went twice in one week! After a recommendation from the barista by our hotel we walked over to Brenda’s for brunch on a Saturday. There was a wait but it moved quickly. I got the Florentine Benedict and my friend got the Corn Succotash & White Cheddar Omelette (not pictured). Everything was great – savory, a little spice, comforting! Friendly and quick service. I ended up going back to try the dinner menu a few nights later – the shrimp and grits was everything I wanted. The beignets are a must try – SO big and fluffy and filled to perfection. Love this little gem of French soul food!

Every time I visit San Francisco, I must stop at Brenda’s. I brought my mom and sister. They trusted me and all ordered the same thing. Eggs Benedict with hash and fried chicken. It was so good! They loved it as well. The staff was also so amazing.

Absolutely delicious. Food was great. Im southern so I know grits but I never had grits like these. So creamy and even after refrigerated and warmed back up they were amazing and without lumps. The Biscuit just melted in my mouth and the strawberry jam was amazing. I would of course return and order doordash too. This is a place to visit.

Cool spot to get some hearty brunch food. We ordered the Grillades and grits (beef cutlets braised in creole gravy, served with grits, 2 eggs and a cream biscuit) and the special – Molasses Pork chop with sweet potato hash, 2 eggs, and toast. The beef had some good flavor and the grits were good. The Molasses Pork chop had a lot of flavor and was cooked perfectly. The service here is attentive and quick.

We pick this place out of all of the tourist traps that are along North Beach. All the other places were packed and we wanted to have a nice enjoyable dinner that did not feel like we were a bunch of seagulls trying to get at 1 piece of food. The service was great, the food even better. We will definitely come back here as we were treated super well and everything was delicious and served with class. A little bit more expensive than the other places but a full on strong menu that’s worthy of picking from if you’re into fish and not into touristy traps.

Loved it. The grilled Sand Dabs were SO GOOD! Do not miss the sand dabs! The scallops were also tender and fresh. The cioppino was pretty good, too. Loved the classic decor. Waitress was nice. The portions were good for two people. Definitely a worth a visit in SF and I can definitely see myself here regularly as a great neighborhood spot. Come before 6pm and you’ll get yourself a seat!

A fantastic place for seafood. We did not have a reservation, but only waited about 25 minutes. It was worth the wait.

Make a reservation if you can though.

We split Lobster Ravioli and “The Best Damn Crab Cioppino”

It was definitely enough for two people. So good. The have beer and wine, no other spirits. I would highly recommend!

Worth the wait. The Crab Cioppino- was really chef’s kisses. The broth was outstanding and the sea food was incredibly fresh. Scallops-were delicious and the sauce was stellar. Lobster ravioli was good too. Will be back !

This place is too good to be true!!!! I think it is the best Italian seafood restaurant ever. My friend booked a reservation two weeks earlier and we got a nice seat on Saturday night. I highly recommend everything that we ordered- the seafood crab stew, the seafood risotto, and scallops. I also love their oysters, east coast is better than west coast. Their rose wine is tasty too. I highly recommend the risotto, which is the best risotto I’ve ever had so far in my life.
