Holy smokes. I decided to try this restaurant since everyone I encountered recommended. The Chicken “Z-man sandwich” was so delicious. I did not expect how good it was! I had the potato salad, banana cream pie and a margarita. I’m not one to really enjoy Banana cream pie or BBQ but I really loved my meal. The sauce in the Z-Man sandwich was so good and it completed the fried onion rings nicely. The lady and the register was so friendly, she introduced herself and welcomed me to Kansas. All the staff seemed to nice! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Mine my not be a very popular opinion, but I am going to call a chain a chain. Joe’s might have great food at the original location(maybe) but when you are mass producing what are supposed to be long smoked and complexly flavored meats, you are going to take short cuts. It’s clear this location, at least, does. The meats were overly fatty and lacked any of the complex flavors and crispness you find in great BBQ. Toast was dry and bland and the coleslaw and red beans & rice were quite disappointing. Do yourself a flavor and visit one of KC’s other, more original BBQ places that caters to smaller crowds with better taste!

This is hands-down the best place for a Kansas City BBQ! As long as you get here early enough, you WILL NOT have to wait in an enormously long line. In my opinion, they’ve got the VERY best fries and BBQ sauce. As soon as you receive your order, they make sure to get you some! Highly recommend this location out of the three.

When visiting family in town, we ALWAYS stop at this bbq restaurant! They NEVER let us down! Z-Man is what hubby gets and I love their brisket sandwiches. We were too hungry therefore didn’t get a chance to take pictures before eating! 🤪

Great food! Busy place. I ordered the lunch burnt end plate with Mac and cheese, my husband ordered the one meat dinner, turkey with baked beans. The only complaint he had were the texture of the onions in the beans. They had a lot of flavor otherwise. Mac and cheese was great. A little smokey, and creamy. It came out piping hot. I gave my husband a little heck for ordering turkey but soon ate my words, it was delicious, tender, smokey, sliced thin. The burnt ends were very tender. Sauces were great. Husband wished they had a hotter one. I thought they were pretty sweet, but had a lot of flavor to balance it out.

Madison was our hostess and she was great. Very friendly and welcoming. She was very attentive and her service was super fast. The food however was lacking in the taste. The steaks weren’t seasoned well and the mashed potatoes were watery.

Everything was delicious. The ribs were fall off the bone but just a little over done. The waitress was new but she took care if us well as we celebrated our engagement!

    Not bad, but not great.
Went here for our anniversary dinner. I loved the online waitlist check in, so it was super convenient to get a table. At the time we were seated, the estimated wait time had jumped to almost two hours! The atmosphere inside is great, lots of seating areas but seems a little cramped. Our server came by and took our drink orders. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my wife the Cactus Water. It took a really long time to get our drinks. Let me tell you, DO NOT go here for “Fancy” drinks. My old fashioned was horrible. We went ahead and ordered the Legend margaritas hoping it would be better. I couldn’t even finish mine because it was so sweet. Our food was great though. I got a 12oz ribeye and my wife ordered a 6oz filet. She was disappointed because she ordered medium rare and hers was more done than my medium. Lastly we felt super rushed. I still had half a steak left and our server was already asking if we wanted to go boxes??

Overall, the food was great but outside of that, I don’t see a reason to go back.

Not a regular, but I do dine in every 3-6 months here. Experience is usually positive. Service is good. Dine in both indoor and outdoor patio. Food has always been good. Restaurant is on the NE corner of Santa Fe (135th) & Blackbob, makes it easy to find. Parking is okay. Usually I’m in a group of 2. Occasionally I’ll be in a group of 6 or more. 👍 solid choice if your thinking about eating here.

    Hi, the Mighty Gamera here!

The family all got together at Olive 🫒 Garden for dinner. We really enjoyed our time thanks to the wonderful and fun waitress. She served us very attentively and always with a smile and laughter.

The place was busy but we got there before the rush. 4pm is a good time to go. There was a waiting line to get in when we left, but not when we arrived.

    Now the food…
I had soup and salad and the rest of the family had pasta. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. I did some sampling so here’s the run down:

The Soup (Chicken Gnocchi) was quite delicious but very salty. Creamy with nicely textures. I only took pictures of my soup as I didn’t want to disturb the family.

The Chicken Parmigiana was yummy too with a crisp coating, tender meat and a lovely flavor.

The Lasagna wasn’t as good as I hoped and the tomato sauce seemed a bit too tangy. The texture was good though but overall just average.

The Strawberry Cream Cake was very good, moist with just about the right amount of tart. Yum!

The Warm Italian Donuts were great and yep, tasted just like a donut. There are two sauce options, chocolate and raspberry. We all recommend the raspberry.

I ate too much as it was all you can eat soup 🍲 and salad. I’m a stuffed critter.

The bottom line is Olive Garden is always a nice place to go, especially with family and friends. Oh, just one or two downsides. The seating is solid wood and it’s cramped. Just squeeze yourself in!

Enjoy all things and good health to you all.

Have not been here in about 8 yrs. The food has definitely gone down hill. Our service was great but our food was not. The soup was gross, the breadsticks were kinda hard. We both got the fettuccine. I feel the noodles could be cooked more throughly. Our appetizers were not good. Will not be back to any Olive Garden ever. The food is just nasty now. Just like Applebee’s.

I went with my friend and got the shrimp scampi, it was pretty good. I love their bread sticks but I’m not a big fan of their salad (mainly the dressing). They have great food and I totally recommend.

Absolutely amazing dinner and Service. Will definitely be visiting this establishment again when I am in Olathe. If I had to point out one negative aspect of this particular restaurant, it would be the noise level. However, knowing how good the food and the service is here, we understood the reason for such a crowd. Yes, we did have to wait for our table about 25-30 minutes. But it was definitely well worth the wait and the little bit of noise. Great Dinner, Wonderful Atmosphere.😁
