AWESOME art. Absolutely unbelievable to witness these masterpieces in real life. I was astonished by the gift shop as well. Most people that know me know that I LOVE gift shops, and this one was definitely one of my new favorites. It had all the different art related things a person could think of. Absolutely would recommend this gallery to any art lover.

The National Gallery of Art is a great stop for any history or art lover. Boasting many different paintings from the biggest artists, the gallery is expansive and well-curated. I spent a couple of hours here and could easily have spent more time here. I would recommend planning ahead to locate the galleries that are a must-see for you, as after a couple of hours, it’s easy to get fatigued by how many pieces there are.

For history lovers, check out the presidential portraits by Gilbert Stuart and the famous painting of Marie Antoinette. I also recommend touring the galleries on the lower floor, where there are beautiful Degas and Rodin sculptures and early Colonial furniture.

I had a great experience in this museum while i was visiting. I think a person will need 3-4 hours to go around every section and both building. The employees there where great and very helpful guiding me through the museum. There is a coffee shop or two there for people to rest and talk. The location of the museum is great as it’s surrounded by other museums as well. It’s a must for visitors!

Want to give 5 stars but after walking the entire West building, looking for an open entrance, I ended up going to the East building. A great range of art for many tastes. I loved seeing not one but two pieces from Magritte. Many pieces from Picasso (not my personal favorite). A room of Modigliani. I didn’t get to finish but I would recommend it as a place to visit.

    Both Galleries were delightful.
They offered insights into the artwork and some fantastic works of art.
Neither gallery was busy and there was plenty to see, despite the renovations to both inside and outside of the gallery.
This is Definitely one of the better galleries to visit.

This is currently one of the coolest entertainment venues in DC. It is full of restaurants and bars. It also has a seafood market, a theater, venues for events, the marina and several docks.

If you want to enjoy a fun atmosphere, with music, food and drinks, this is the perfect place. And of course the view of the river is one of its greatest attractions. The sunsets are fabulous. And if you are a lover of architecture and design you will be delighted with the buildings that are along the entire walk.

So, don’t miss this place if you are in DC.

Enjoy visiting the Wharf at DC. It’s a happening place. Love the vibes there. Lots of restaurants and eateries line the wharf. We love the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and it’s location.
There is a huge fire pit on a pier / walkway. It’s lined with swings and some benches.
This is also the location to watch the Annual Christmas Boat Parade, fireworks, etc.
There are quite a few public parking garages around.
All in all a lovely place to hang out (with family too)

This is a beautiful spot in DC and was recommended when visiting. We went here twice for our visit. The restaurant ilili was amazing. They have a huge venue here and many restaurants with great views. The seafood market is one of the oldest in the country which our DC monument tour guide informed us so that was cool to see. I should have tried the clam chowder there. We went here later in the evening and is a perfect spot for a date and higher end restaurants.

We were able to find free street parking about 2 blocks away from the main location. Enjoyed walking on the broad walk area, where one can purchase small snack type food and drinks and consume on the broadwalk. But , there are plenty of good restaurants in there. We enjoyed our time and will.go.back again for sure. Good place to relax and enjoy your time.

I wish I knew this place much earlier while I was staying in DC. I had such a great time here because I was able to organize my thoughts while looking at this beautiful view. There are lots of restaurants around The Wharf but I went to Municipal Fish market and got freshly cooked seafood for paying much less money. Highly recommend this place!

Decided to check this park out and we were not disappointed. How is this vast green space right in our back yard? The website said 30+ miles of trials. We walked one of the roads closed off to vehicle traffic for a bit and took some of the trails as well. There were a lot of people walking, riding bikes and enjoying the outdoors, yet it didn’t seem crowded. Recommend planning your route in advance or having a trail app to help you out. Plenty of spaces to bring a picnic lunch or camp out along the water. Parking was a challenge. The parking lots fill up early. We ended up parking on the street near one of the embassies. If you look on the map, you will be able to see various parking options. Street parking worked for us so keep that option in mind too. If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for?

Absolutely gem of a place! The trails are well defined and the weather is chilly as compared to city. Recommend this place for morning runs or walks and dog-walks or just getting away from city hustle. Extremely quiet and satisfying. Also has a small water body flowing by – nothing too great but good enough during most times of year

We came here between mid to the end of Oct, and there were already some early fall foliage showing up. When the weather is good, the traffic might take quite a while to go in / get out of this area. Both walking or biking works in the trail. It’s a pretty nice park in general.

Such an incredible place to destress and get away from the world on a Sunday morning. 🌱

Hiking at Rock Creek Park isn’t that steep, it’s actually great for beginners like me. 💯

I started my journey by taking the Reservation 630 Trail, then I went on to the Western Ridge Trail, and ended on the Valley Trail. I also passed by Boulder Bridge and Rapid’s Bridge on the way.

My full journey lasted around 3 hours (8 – 11 am).

All I took with me on the hike was a large water thermos, a protein bar, and some rice crackers.

If you’re into biking, this park has the perfect biking AND running trails. They’re far away from people who prefer hiking on foot. I believe some areas are also pet-friendly. 🐶

I highly, highly recommend visiting the park! The scenery is just mesmerizing. ♥️🏞

Great picnic areas. Spacious and clean spaces. Bathrooms were relatively clean for a park. No funky smell, well lit, and ac controlled.

Kayaking, pedal boat, and row boat available on the lake.

Playgrounds are really nice. Home/bike trail available too.
