Though the menu isn’t extensive, it doesn’t have to be when you’ve struck the perfect chord on flavor! This is some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Slightly spicy, yet perfectly balanced with season, this place will have you coming back for more! The Mac and cheese is so delicious! While they do carry a few other options, the chicken (we had wings and tenders) and Mac and cheese were the best! You won’t regret eating here!

By far the best fried pickle spears I have ever eaten! Love that there is a souvenir cup option. My boyfriend got the fried okra and let me try some – it was very good too! Google the history on the restaurant- it’s incredibly interesting and made me appreciate the meal even more knowing how it became famous. You definitely won’t walk away hungry after eating here! The waiter was phenomenal despite a packed house and was great at checking in on us.

Went near downtown and found this hidden gem. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a hot day and asked for a pitcher of water and she didn’t disappoint with a pitcher and constant refill. We ordered the family 16pc with Mac n cheese, fries and slaw. Perfectly cooked chicken, juicy and flavorful. All the sides were great and with a fun atmosphere made this a pleasant chicken fry evening. We will definitely be back!

It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten here and would have given 4 stars I remember it being just slightly more memorable and tasty the first time. I get the tenders with slaw and beans for $10.25 you get 4 tenders for the same price as 3! The staff are very friendly, the service is quick even when they’re busy. The chicken is spicy so if you don’t like spice this isn’t for you. I tasted the spice just remember it being more flavorful. The tenders had a crispy skin which most tenders don’t. Wanted to add a little salt to everything. The craft beer was only $5.

Tasty chicken but slightly over burnt skin for me. The mix they use is perfect. Nice little kick but not too much. Beans are the best in Austin. Mac n cheese was good as well. I would skip the fried tomatoes and stick with the fried pickles.

Given our temporary residence location, this is an excellent spot! More than just food, but it’s a comfort spot. Has a bar so drink options are plentiful. Plenty of parking front and back, no issues there.

Once inside they are always fast to find you a table or booth. I’ve never had to make a reservation.

I am not super excited with their food menu. But the items I order, they were good. For some reason, I really don’t like their mash potatoes. Two out of two so far just didn’t taste right to me.

All and all, definitely great spot to come back to, kids like it too.

Jack Allen’s is an iconic Austin destination. My family has been eating here for years. It’s a great place for family get togethers or just hanging out on the patio for brunch. They make great cocktails and the margaritas are a big draw for my family. I like the Mexican Martini.
The food is always delicious and the have a friendly waitstaff that is well trained and service is normally excellent. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Austin you can’t go wrong visiting Jack Allen’s.

Love eating at this restaurant! The margaritas are delicious and so is the food. We had the Tejana enchiladas and buttermilk fried chicken salad…both were delicious. Good service, great patio, lush green views from the restaurant, overall a great lunch spot!

Whole30 supper successfully created with the assistance of the fantastic server and chef at Jack Allen’s kitchen. I had an amazing salmon, crab salad with tomatoes and tomatillo sauce. They gave me vinegar and oil to compliment it, per my request. Then they provided me a cup of sliced apples and pears upon my request. Free valet parking, very friendly hospitality made this restaurant a hit and I will be back!

Went there to grab a quick bite for lunch, they offer creative American classic plates like Pesto-marinated Crab stuffed chicken, Baja style fish tacos, Burgers, salads, etc. I asked Madison, my server, for a suggestion and she pointed me towards the Chorizo Stuffed Pork Tenderloin Medallions and what a great suggestion… the amount of food was perfect, flavor was amazing, and service was great! Food came out pretty quick as well, highly recommend it if you want to eat good comfort food.

There are all sorts of options to choose from on the bar & the meat was melt in your mouth delicious. The staff is such a delight, you want for nothing. Our waiter was amazing, he took excellent care of us. Explained everything & he was right on target. You must experience this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

I would highly recommend Fogo de Chao! Amazing food, great service. It made birthday so special! I’ve been to buffets before, this is so much more!! The food presentation is fantastic, the steaks are all delicious and the price is just right. You get A LOT of food! I want to send a special thank you to Tai who made our experience even better. We felt like family even though he just met us. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable!! We love you ❤

Everything was absolutely Delicious…! High quality Steak House. The bacon wrapped chicken just melts in your mouth, it was so soft and juicy. Cooked to perfection. Well worth the money spent for the small celebration I had for my Husband. Thank you guys for such a Lovely evening. Can’t wait to go back.

We came here this past Saturday night around 6pm. Not too crowded. We had a reservation. The service was not very good. Took forever to get our drinks. Waitress hardly came back to the table so we didn’t order get to order many drinks (literally only one glass of wine the entire dinner). The steak and meat options were just ok. The price is good for unlimited options of steaks and other meats, but the flavor and quality was disappointing. No flavor. They also only have mashed potatoes as a side and two other options. Their salad and cheese bar was pretty small, limited options. If you are on a budget for steak, this is a good option. But if you want a great steak with good sides and service, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There were 3 of us, we had two drinks, and our total came to $200 – I would have much rather went to Bob’s Chop House or Capital Grill. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Gabby, Oliver, and the rest of the Wait Team, along with the delicious food are reasons to come and dine. The wait team are knowledgeable on the menu choices and make perfect recommendations. The meats are succulent and seasoned perfectly. Do yourself a favor and try the Brazilian Limoneda and the Toasted Cheese and Honey! You will not be disappointed
